Reading opinions and memes about Squid Game’s finale and realizing the meaning of the show was lost on many.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Seems like most viewers were expecting a fairytale ending or at least some form of closure; not understanding the show is an allegory of capitalism, which makes the ending a perfect representation of how injustices and failures affect the working class while the elite get away with all kinds of crimes and privileges.
The beast that is capitalism always survives. The game itself is the only winner, as the corrupt lose themselves in immorality, and the good guys waste or lose their lives in the pursuit of innocence.
Yes, it’s dismal. Perhaps that’s why most viewers choose to ignore the deeper meaning behind the show. 🦑
